Love stories have always been different. No love story has ever been the same. There is joy, there is laughter, there are tears and then there are tales. This is one such tale.

Kalpeshwari and Chandu were neighbours. They get to see each other every day. They were just one fence apart. Apart from throwing glances at each other, there was nothing much that they could do. Interaction between them was rare. Why? Their families would not allow that. In a village household and in a joint family, it was very difficult to roam around freely.

There were times when, after Chandu came back home after a days hard work, and his family served him nice food and water, Kalpeshwari would try to take a sneak peak. She would feel sorry to see him exhausted and worn out. However, there was no other way. He was a diligent worker and his family was dependent on him. Well, yes, sometimes Chandu felt, he might as well take a break and go away somewhere with Kalpeshwari, but then, again, do dreams even come true? Also, he loved his family as well.

When Chandu saw Rajesh getting married, Chandu too wished if only he and Kalpeshwari could tie the knot amidst such beautiful rituals. He prayed silently for this.

Kalpeshwari and Chandu occasionally got to interact with each other in a field nearby. Ofcourse, under the rightful eye of someone from their families, it was hard to get privacy. Yet, Chandu was able to express his feelings to Kalpeshwari. Kalpeshwari, knew that this was coming. Her bright eyes shied away. Her anklets in her feet jingled. The anklets were gifted to her by Radhika. Radhika always ensures that Kalpeshwari looked beautiful. She ensures that the red bindi shines brightly on Kalpeshwari’s forehead and then she also checks if the anklets are intact. These things attracted Chandu.

Chandu and Kalpeshwari wanted to get married and settle down. However, because of Chandu’s work skills, it was difficult that his family will ever allow him to get married. They were possessive and scared of the fact that if Chandu leaves, what will happen to them. Nevertheless, Chandu also has a life of his own. He can’t stay single all his life. Kalpeshwari was a shy girl. She cannot take a single step if Chandu did not support her.

Today in the field, when they had gone for a walk, Chandu stealthily met Kalpeshwari and said, ‘We will elope tomorrow.’ Kalpeshwari stood there astonished. Chandu said, ‘Tomorrow at the fair, when we come, we will elope’. Kalpeshwari shyly said, ‘ But, how?’ Chandu said, ‘ Leave that to me. We will manage. You just be ready.’

Next day, Chandu and Kalpeshwari eloped and started living together. There was a hue and cry in their families regarding their disappearance. However, after some days of searching, the families gave up.

Meanwhile Kalpeshwari and Chandu started their family. Kalpeshwari had dreamt of becoming a bride some day, but that never happened. Living together and having kids without a wedding was not something Kalpeshwari had thought of. She had wanted a wedding like that of Radhika. But then, not everyone’s destiny is same. Radhika was born a human. While Kalpeshwari was a cow. Chandu too dreamt of dressing up like Rajesh in his wedding but again Chandu was a bull while Rajesh was a human. Nevertheless, Chandu and Kalpeshwari were happy and they lived happily ever after with their children.
