Zafar was shattered. He had no clue where Ruhaani was. There was blood all over. Who kidnapped Ruhaani? It has to be Latika. Zafar clenched his fist. He would go to that brothel and kill Latika. She must be the one who must have captured Ruhaani. Who else could do it. Seething, Zafar went downstairs. He was in agony. He wanted to cry but he could not. He was in a whirlpool of emotions. He was angry with himself for not being able to protect Ruhaani. He was raging over Latika for being so cruel. He hated himself, he hated Latika even more. He ran downstairs and raced to the brothel in his bike.

Rohan reached the hospital. He first went to the reception, flashed his identity card and told the receptionist, ‘I have to meet the doctor of Nikhil right now. It’s urgent.’ The receptionist called up the doctor immediately and told him that Rohan wanted to meet him. The doctor called Rohan to his room. Rohan spoke with the doctor for sometime. The doctor listened to everything and said, ‘But, that will not be right.’ Rohan said, ‘I understand that doctor. But, this is very crucial for the case. Please cooperate. Anyway you and your team are taking utmost care of Nikhil and there is no doubt about that. However, at this point please do as I say.’ The doctor reluctantly agreed.

Zafar reached the brothel. He yelled at the guards and said, ‘Where is Ruhaani?’ One of the guards tried to hit him. Zafar grabbed the guard’s hand and twisted it. The other guards stood there baffled. They knew Zafar. He was known as one quiet guy who never indulged even in arguments, forget about fights. Today Zafar was a different person altogether. He was on the warpath. Two more guards came forward to stop Zafar. Zafar zoomed ahead, punched them with all his might and the guards were strewn away. He then kicked the gate open and rushed upstairs. The guards could not get up to stop him. Zafar banged on Latika’s door and roared, ‘WHERE IS RUHAANI?’ Latika froze. What had happened? Why this ruckus? Zafar kept on banging the door. Latika had no choice. She went ahead and opened the door. Zafar looked at her with his blood shot red eyes and asked, ‘WHERE IS RUHAANI?’. Latika looked at him petrified and said, ‘I….I don’t know….’. Zafar went ahead, looked at Latika straight in the eye and said in a voice which brought a chill down Latika’s spine, ‘See Latika! Ruhaani is my love. Nikhil helped me to meet her. I was scared that you might hurt her if you know that we were trying to help her. Now, listen. I am not scared anymore. If I don’t find Ruhaani safe and sound, you are dead meat. Did you hear that? I will kill you and land in jail. I don’t care what happens to me. But I will ensure you die.’ Latika froze there. She saw her death looming in Zafar’s eyes. For the first time in her life, she was scared of someone. She could make out from Zafar’s eyes that he was not joking. He can kill.

After meeting the doctor, Rohan came and sat beside Ravi. Saloni came there too and told Ravi, ‘I could not reach Zafar.’ Before Ravi could say anything, the doctor came and said, ‘Nikhil’s friends and family?’ Ravi and Saloni quickly got up and went to the doctor. The doctor smiled and said, ‘Nikhil has regained consciousness. He is under heavy medications now, so he is sleeping. You will be able to meet him tomorrow.’ Ravi hugged the doctor and said, ‘Thank you doctor! Thank you!’ Ravi could not stop his tears of joy. He hugged Saloni. Saloni smiled warmly patted Ravi’s back and said, ‘See, everything is fine now.’ Ravi smiled and said, ‘Yes Saloni. God is great.’ Ravi reached for his phone immediately and called Zafar.

Zafar saw Ravi’s number. His heart pounded. He did not want to hear any more bad news. He received the call praying for some happy news.

Zafar: Hello

Ravi: BRO!!! RAVI REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS. HE IS FINE……

Zafar could scream with joy. He looked up, thanked the almighty with teary eyes. Ravi could feel Zafar’s emotions.

Zafar : Take care of Nikhil.

Ravi: I will bro. I am here. You take care of Ruhaani. How is she?

Zafar(broken): She is…. she is missing………

Ravi (shocked): What????

Zafar(in deep anguish): I don’t know where to find her………

Ravi: Damn! Where are you? I am coming right away. Nikhil is fine now. Saloni is also here. I am coming to meet you.

Zafar: I had asked Saloni not to come. Our parents will be worried now. Anyway. There is no point in you coming here. I will find Ruhaani.

Saying that Zafar hung up. Just then his phone rang again. It was from an unknown number. Zafar received the call.

The person at the other end: You must be worried about Ruhaani….

Zafar(astounded): Who are you? Where is Ruhaani?

The person: Well, come and see for yourself.

Zafar(breathing fire): I hope Ruhaani is safe. If something were to happen to her…..

The Person: Come and see for yourself. Sending you the address right away.

The moment Zafar hung up, his phone beeped. There was an address. Zafar took his bike and rushed to that address. It took Zafar 45 minutes to reach the address. Zafar looked around. It was an empty road. There was a quaint house at one corner. Zafar walked up to that house. The front door was wide open. Zafar knocked at the door and said, ‘Hello!’ There was no answer. Zafar called out again, ‘HELLO!’. Just then he saw someone walking towards him. It was……it was……..Ruhaani. He screamed, ‘Ruhaani!!!!!’ Zafar could not stop himself. He ran to her, hugged her tight and said, ‘Are you okay? I was hell worried about you.’ Ruhaani hugged him back, cried like a little girl and said, ‘I never thought I would see you again. Had it not been for him, I would have been dead. He saved me from that monster.’ Zafar brushed Ruhaani’s head and asked, ‘Who saved you? Who tried to kill you?’ Ruhaani pointed to a room and said, ‘The killer is locked there…..’ Before Ruhaani could say more, someone pulled Zafar and Ruhaani aside and said, ‘Shhh. The real person behind all these is coming here to meet the shooter. That person is the one who had shot Nikhil and who had tried to kill Ruhaani. Next on the list was you. The plan was all set to kill you. The sharp shooter’s boss will be coming in sometime. Just hide here and don’t come out till I say.’ Zafar and Ruhaani quickly hid in the adjacent room.

They heard the footsteps. The person behind all the conspiracies was here. The person shouted, ‘You called me here. Where the hell are you?’. The shooter came out from the room and said, ‘I am right here. Just because you are my boss you cannot shout at me.’ The shooter’s boss replied, ‘What a sloppy worker you are. That Nikhil is absolutely safe and sound. And where is the body of that stupid girl Ruhaani? And next you have to kill Zafar and then Ravi. But first finish off that Nikhil before he is discharged from the hospital. And why are you talking to me from so far??? Come here you moron. I cannot shout so much.’ Mushtaque emerged from behind the shooter, smiled at the boss of the shooter and said, ‘He cannot come closer to you because I am close to him with my gun. He may lose his life.’ Zafar and Ruhaani froze when they saw the real criminal. Mushtaque looked at the criminal and said, ‘Well, although you tried your best to kill Ruhaani, I was there right on time to save her. It was pretty easy for me to know that you were behind all this. My team is already here. So, there is no way you can escape. Now tell us why did you do this?’. Mushtaque then called Zafar and Ruhaani and said, ‘Come out guys. See for yourself who is the real culprit.’ Zafar and Ruhaani came out of the room they were hiding. Zafar went closer to that nefarious criminal and said in utter shock, ‘There has to be some mistake. Of all people, my sister! No no! My sister can’t do this. You can’t kill anyone my darling sister. Not Nikhil, not Ruhaani and…….not me………… you…..you can’t kill me………… Something is wrong here. This cannot be true.……’
