Poorv had no clue what Disha was talking about. ‘Charade?’, he told Disha. Before Disha could say something, Mushtaque came and whispered to Disha, ‘Could you please come out of the theatre and talk to me for a moment?’ Disha anyway wanted to get out of this suffocated environment. Sitting with Poorv in this theatre was painful. She stood up and walked out of the movie hall with Mushtaque. Poorv sat there baffled. Raunak came and sat beside him and whispered, ‘Disha must have told you something. Don’t worry about it. I will tell you all once Mushtaque shares the details.’ Poorv looked at Raunak with questions in his eyes and said, ‘I don’t understand…..’. Raunak said, ‘Give me some time. Trust me, I will tell you everything.’

Mushtaque and Disha went to the food court adjacent to the movie theatre. Mushtaque grabbed a table away from the crowd and made Disha sit comfortably. He then asked her, ‘Would you like to have something?’ Disha replied softly, ‘No, thank you.’ Disha’s eyes were red. She had been crying since yesterday. She kept quiet. Mushtaque then said, ‘Shall I get you some water?’ Disha said with a shattered, painful voice, ‘No. Thanks! I want to go home.’ Mushtaque said, ‘We will drop you home. But before that you need to know something.’ Disha looked at Mushtaque with curious, tearful eyes. Mushtaque said, ‘Well, let me tell you everything clearly so that things are transparent.’ Disha looked at Mushtaque confused and said, ‘What?’ Mushtaque said, ‘Well, Raunak felt that there was something brewing between you and Poorv and he felt you were hurt by him. Hence he had asked me to find out if you were in some trouble. Raunak was concerned.’ Before Mushtaque could continue, tears rolled down Disha’s cheeks. Mushtaque quickly took out a facial tissue from the box on the table and gave it to Disha and said, ‘Disha, listen to me. Poorv is not hurting you. He does not even know what is happening.’ Disha looked wide eyed at Mushtaque and said, ‘I don’t understand…..’. Mushtaque said, ‘Take out your phone and tell me what is Poorv’s phone number?’ Disha did not have to take out the phone. She knew that number by heart. She told Mushtaque the number. Mushtaque said, ‘That is not Poorv’s number.’ He then took out his phone and showed Disha Poorv’s actual phone number. Disha replied bewildered, ‘Is this some other game Poorv is playing with me?’ Mushtaque smiled and said, ‘Someone is playing a game with you Disha. But that “someone” is not Poorv.’ Disha looked at Mushtaque and said with a shocking note, ‘You got to be kidding me.’ Mushtaque took out his phone and showed Disha both the profiles of Poorv Mahajan. Disha looked at both the profiles and said, ‘Poorv has two profiles?’ Mushtaque smiled and said, ‘No. Poorv has only one profile. And in that profile, you are not there in his friend list. The “Poorv Mahajan” with whom you are in touch with is someone else.’ Disha listened to Mushtaque dumbfounded. Mushtaque then said, ‘Alright! Let’s do this. Dial Poorv’s number now and see if he receives the call. He is inside the theatre. If he receives your call, you would hear the sound effects of the movie.’ Disha replied, ‘He has not been answering my calls lately.’ Mushtaque then said, ‘Fine, let me call him from an unknown number. Let’s see if he receives it.’ Mushtaque then took out an old phone from his pocket and dialed the number of ‘Poorv’ with whom Disha had been talking to. Someone received the call. Mushtaque put his phone on speaker mode. He then gestured Disha to talk to him. Disha said, ‘Uh, hi Poorv. Disha here.’ The voice at the other end stuttered and said, ‘Disha! Why are you calling me from an unknown number?’ Mushtaque gestured Disha to continue the conversation while he quickly stepped away and called Sofia.

Mushtaque: Trace the number of Poorv that you got from Disha’s profile. Find out where he is. Disha is talking to him now from my official unknown number. Trace the location and send me the details. I need to know who this Poorv is.

Sofia: On it Sir.

Meanwhile Disha told over the phone, ‘You never answer my call if I call you from my number. Hence I had to this. Why are you ignoring me? What did I do?’. The voice at the other end replied, ‘I am not ignoring you. Just that I am too busy with things happening around.’ Disha continued, ‘How can someone be so busy that he can’t keep in touch with someone he loves?’ The voice at the other end said, ‘Loves? Who loves whom?’ Disha asked shocked, ‘Poorv, you never loved me?’ The voice laughed and said, ‘How can anyone like someone without meeting? And you are talking about love? Disha I have never met you. I never committed anything to you. Why are you holding on to me?’ Before Disha could say something, Mushtaque came smiling near Disha and gestured her to look behind. Disha turned around. Poorv and Raunak were walking towards her. Disha understood what a mess she had got herself into. This guy with whom she was talking through out is not Poorv. Disha quickly disconnected the call. When Poorv and Raunak came, Disha was at loss of words. She was so embarrassed. She did not want to face Poorv now. Mushtaque smiled and raising his eyebrows in a way of teasing Disha, he said, ‘Now, do you believe me?’ Disha nodded. She was flustered. Mushtaque then told Raunak, ‘We need to go for some important work. It’s urgent.’ Raunak said, ‘But, we have to drop Disha home first. Her parents will be worried otherwise.’ Poorv said, ‘I will drop her home.’ Mushtaque told Raunak, ‘Let Poorv drive your car. You come with me in my official vehicle.’ Raunak gave Poorv the car keys and rushed with Mushtaque.

Disha stood up. She was unable to make eye contact with Poorv. She said, ‘I….I am sorry.’ Poorv replied, ‘Well, I am yet to know the entire story and Raunak told me he will tell me all. So, I guess, whatever happened, let’s forget about it.’ Disha kept quiet. Poorv could not take his eyes off Disha. The way she talked, her personality, her eyes, she is……she is “love”. Poorv then looked at Disha and said, ‘Shall we go?’ Disha replied, ‘Y….yes.’

When the valet parking guy brought Raunak’s car, Poorv went ahead and opened the door for Disha. Disha was hesitant. She was so rude to Poorv and look at him, such a polished individual he is with reticent demeanour. As Poorv drove, Disha looked out of the window fiddling with her purse. Poorv realised she was feeling uneasy about all that happened. He had to lighten the ambiance or else she will never talk. Clearing his voice, he said, ‘So, what kind of music do you like? I don’t know the radio stations here. You can play your choice of radio station.’ Disha said, ‘N….No, it’s fine. 80s bollywood music is beautiful.’ Poorv said, ‘ Sure it is.’ There was silence between the two and the music on the radio played on. The traffic made the car go slow and the song, ‘Mere rang mein rangne waali…..’ spoke what Poorv wanted to tell Disha.

In all that was happening, Disha had completely forgotten about Romit. She suddenly realised she had told him that she would meet him. She told herself, ‘Damn! I forgot! How could I? He must have been waiting for me. Stupid me.’ She then quickly dialed Romit’s number. Romit had reached home by then. He saw Disha’s name flashing on the phone. He received it with a heavy heart and said, ‘Hey.’ Disha said with a remorseful voice, ‘I am sorry Romit. I…..’ Before Disha could say anything, Romit said, ‘It’s okay Disha. I understand.’ Saying that Romit hung up. Poorv heard the name Romit. He had seen Romit at the party too. Poorv smiled to himself and said, ‘What am I dreaming of? Maybe Romit is already there in Disha’s life….. moreover Raunak will never like it if Disha comes to my life.’

Mushtaque and Raunak were at the Police station. After tracing the calls, Mushtaque had sent some officers to nab the culprit/culprits. Well, Amit and Rupesh, students of Disha’s college were caught red handed. Amit was talking to Disha as Poorv while Rupesh was happy listening to the entire conversation. Mushtaque would now find out why they did that?……………..
