Mr. Rajnish Surya was immensely happy. Finally, they found someone whom his daughter Akangsha would like. Mr. Rajnish Surya had met the boy’s parents, Mrs. Pramila Shekhar and Mr. Swaroop Shekhar. The Shekhar family was doing well in life. They had a business establishment of their own. They said that their only son, Sumit, had no interest in business. Sumit was preparing for UPSC. Mr. Swaroop Shekhar’s father, Mr. Gajendra Shekhar, had established this business, and now this business is soaring high, reaching the zenith of success.

Akangsha was ambitious, particularly in academics. She wanted to be a doctor. However, she couldn’t make it to the government medical schools because of super difficult entrance exams. The sad part is, coming from the general category of students, she missed the cutoff marks by just 2 marks.

She then took admission in psychology, and now she is pursuing her master’s. She was the topper in her batch during her bachelor’s. She also aimed to clear the UPSC exams after her master’s. When she heard that Sumit was also a UPSC aspirant, she happily said ‘yes’ when her father insisted on meeting Sumit and his family.

Sumit’s family came, and they all liked Akangsha. Akangsha’s family also liked Sumit. Sumit looked dapper. He was polite. Akangsha’s heart skipped a beat every time she saw Sumit smile. He had this cute smile, and most importantly, Sumit was intelligent. Akangsha’s friends would call Akangsha ‘Sapiosexual’ because she was attracted to only intelligent boys.

Since the families liked each other, Akangsha’s father told her, ‘Why don’t you and Sumit talk to each other? You can perhaps take him to your room and talk.’

Coyly, Akangsha took Sumit to her room. After 10 minutes, they came back to the living room. Sumit’s father told Akangsha’s father, ‘Let’s talk in the evening. Either you can call me or I can call you, and we can finalize everything.’

In the evening, Akangsha’s father called Sumit’s father and said with a heavy heart, ‘I am sorry, Mr. Swaroop, but Akangsha changed her mind. She does not want to marry Sumit.’ Mr. Swaroop was taken aback, ‘What! But why?’ Akangsha’s father said, ‘I am trying to find out what happened, but Akangsha seems to be very upset. She has locked herself in her room and is not talking to anyone.’

Mr. Swaroop hung up the phone and went to Sumit’s room. Sumit was happily humming a song. Mr. Swaroop asked Sumit sternly, ‘Tell me the truth. What happened inside the room? Why did Akangsha say “no” to this alliance?’ Stunned, Sumit said, ‘What? She rejected this alliance? Why?’

Mr. Swaroop, fuming, said, ‘That you will tell me. What did you do inside the room?’

Sumit replied, ‘I did nothing. We did not even talk much. I just looked around her room and saw this picture of an elderly gentleman. I asked her if that gentleman was her grandfather. That’s all. After that, she looked at me as if she was in pain, and then, we came back to the living room.’

Mr. Swaroop said, ‘Oh… perhaps she was close to her grandfather… perhaps there was some story behind… I will talk to Mr. Rajnish tomorrow. Let’s see…’

…………………………………………………………………….. Rajnish gently knocked at Akangsha’s door and said, ‘Sweetheart, can I come in?’ Akangsha replied softly, ‘Dad, you don’t need permission to come to my room.’ Rajnish then asked, ‘What happened, my child? Why did you reject the alliance with Sumit? Sweetheart, I am your dad. You need to tell me. Akangsha, he is a UPSC aspirant… ‘ Akangsha immediately said, ‘UPSC aspirant???? Sumit????? Dad, he did not recognize my idol Mahatma Gandhi ji! When Sumit saw Gandhi Ji’s photo, he asked me if this gentleman is my grandfather. The Shekhar family is a family of cheaters and liars. UPSC Aspirant😡😡😡😡’
