Mushtaque was doing his push ups with Mehek sitting comfortably on his back. Saanchi came and saw the scene and said, ‘Aha! What a work out session!’ Mehek said in her adorable voice, ‘Mommy, why don’t you come and sit on daddy’s back too? It’s fun.’ Saanchi laughed and said, ‘If I sit, your daddy’s back will break.’ Mushtaque replied, ‘Mehek’s daddy has super strong spine.’ Saanchi smiled and said, ‘Yes, Mehek and her mommy knows about it. Now Mehek get off and come and have breakfast.’ Mehek quickly got off her daddy’s back and ran to the dining room. Saanchi was about to follow Mehek when Mushtaque held Saanchi’s hand and said, ‘Where to my wife?’ Saying that he pulled Saanchi closer to him, wrapped his hand around her shoulders, looked at her eyes, removed some strands of hair covering her forehead and said, ‘What do I with these eyes of yours? You seduce me so much that I can barely focus on my work.’ Saanchi looked at Mushtaque’s eyes seductively and said, ‘And the way you seduce me with that smile, with those biceps, with those abs, what do I do?’ Mushtaque whispered, ‘So do whatever you want, who is stopping you?’ As Mushtaque went closer to kiss Saanchi, Mehek screamed from the dining room, ‘Mommyyyy….. I need one more pancake.’ Saanchi giggled at Mushtaque and said, ‘There there….done with romance. My baby needs pancake.’ Saying that she pushed Mushtaque gently and went inside. Mushtaque smiled and told himself, ‘I love this girl.’

Mushtaque took a quick shower, got ready and came to the dining table. He was leaving for Shankarnagar in some time. Dressed in a pair of cargo trousers, v necked white t-shirt, his crew cut hair wet and pair of flipflops in his feet, Mushtaque came to the dining room after his shower. With the fragrance of cologne emanating the moment he came, Saanchi inhaled a long wisp of that fragrance and said, ‘Someone is smelling so good.’ Mehek looked at Saanchi innocently and said, ‘Mommy, it’s daddy.’ Mushtaque patted Mehek’s head, looked at Saanchi and then told Mehek, ‘Mommy knows it well sweetheart.’ Saying that, he winked at Saanchi. Saanchi blushed. Mushtaque then served himself a bowl of cereals with some milk, some dry fruits and some fresh fruits and told Saanchi, ‘The offer is still open for you girls. Join me for the Shankarnagar trip.’ Saanchi yawned and said, ‘You know we don’t enjoy your official trips. We love holidays. We will come for some fun trip. Not this.’ Munching on his cereals Mushtaque said, ‘Well then, next holiday coming soon, right after I come back.’

Anurag wanted to talk to Kashish, tell her that he was travelling to Shankarnagar today with Sara but Kashish was avoiding him. He came downstairs and knocked at the door of Kashish’s room, but Kashish had already left for college. He went back to his room to get his bag when Sumedh came. Seeing Sumedh, Anurag said, ‘Good Morning Dad.’ Sumedh replied, ‘Good Morning Son. Going to office?’ Anurag said, ‘No Dad. I am going to Shankarnagar.’ Sumedh asked, ‘Shankarnagar? Why?’ Sara had requested Anurag not to tell anyone anything about her personal stuff. Anurag said, ‘Dad….well, something important came up. I need to meet someone there. I will let you know the details once I am home.’ Sumedh said, ‘Ok. Drive safe.’ Sumedh was about to leave the room when Sumitra came to meet Anurag. Sumedh had not been talking to Sumitra. When Sumitra came to Anurag’s room, Sumedh left the room. Sumitra was unable to bear Sumedh’s hurtful behaviour towards her. How long will he go on without talking to her. Nonetheless Anurag too had not talked to her since long. At least since yesterday he started talking to her. She was happy with this little happiness she got.

When Kashish reached college, the class was empty. She was way too early. Nishi would be arriving in an hour or so. Kashish sat inside the classroom, took out her books and started reading. She tried to get those pictures and video of Anurag out of her head but she could not. Tears welled up in her eyes. Thankfully there was no one in the class or it would have been impossible to hide the trauma she was going through. Just then she heard some noise. She looked at the door of the class room. It was Akshit. Kashish was surprised. Akshit never came this early to college. Akshit waved at Kashish and said, ‘Hey. Good Morning!’ Kashish asked surprised, ‘How come you are so early?’ Akshit kept his bag on the bench beside Kashish’s bench, sat on the bench in front of Kashish and said, ‘Why? You are early too.’ Kashish hesitated and said, ‘I am early, I know, but how come you are early.’ Akshit replied, ‘Just felt like coming early today. Anyway, let’s go and eat something.’ Kashish said, ‘I had my breakfast. Don’t feel like eating anything now. You go ahead.’ Akshit said persuasively, ‘Come on Kashish. I don’t feel like going alone. Please….’ Akshit had always helped Kashish with notes and all. All he was asking now was to accompany him for breakfast. Kashish said reluctantly, ‘ Okay! Let’s go.’ Akshit said, ‘But, we are not going to the tuck shop in the other campus.’ Kashish asked, ‘Where are we going then?’ Akshit replied, ‘I have found a nice place. Let’s go there. It’s somewhat far though. But we have more than an hour in hand. We will be back.’ Kashish paused and said, ‘But, why so far? Eat something in that tuck shop itself.’ Akshit replied, ‘I am bored of the food there. Please Kashish. Let’s go.’ Kashish then said, ‘Let me inform Nishi.’ Akshit replied, ‘ I already informed her. Don’t worry.’

Anurag drove the car while Sara sat comfortably on the passenger seat. It was a long drive. Sara kept on talking about how adorable her daughter is and what all she had to go through in her marriage. Being a polite gentleman, Anurag pretended to listen, but he was lost in thoughts of Kashish….. Just then Sara’s phone rang. Sara put her headphones so that Anurag can’t hear the conversation. Sara told Anurag that the call was from her dad. The conversation that Anurag heard:

Sara: Yes Dad….

Sara: You have to trust me. Just trust me.

Sara: Hope things are ready. Yes, I have taken care of my responsibilities. Yes, it is a car. Yes… Bye.

Anurag did not ask Sara anything.

Kashish was confused when Akshit asked her to board a brand new car instead of his bike. Kashish asked baffled, ‘Whose car is this?’ Akshit smiled and said, ‘Of course mine.’ Kashish replied irritated, ‘Oh come on! You can’t buy a car in a day. Whose is this?’ Akshit avoided the question and said, ‘Come on now Kashish. This is my grandpa’s. He bought it yesterday and in super excitement I came to college early today and hence I am taking you to my favorite restaurant for a treat. Kashish replied, ‘But this is such an expensive car. Your grandpa allowed you to drive?’ Akshit said, ‘I am his one and only grandchild Kashish.’ Kashish nodded. ‘Hmm…’ Akshit then said, ‘Now come on. Hop on.’

The drive seemed to continue forever. Anurag wished instead of Sara, had Kashish been there, he would not have wanted this drive to end. But then Sara needed his help and it was his duty to help her. After all she was his employee. Sara kept on smiling throughout. Anurag presumed it was all because she was going to meet her child. Anurag had the least idea of what it was all about.

Akshit drove Kashish to a secluded area. After getting off the car, Kashish asked Akshit, ‘What is this place and where is your restaurant?’ Akshit smiled and said, ‘Come with me Kashish. It’s behind that house.’ Kashish felt something was wrong. She told Akshit, ‘Akshit, let’s go back. I don’t like this place.’ Akshit held her hand gently and said, ‘Come on Kashish. Please come.’ Saying that he gently pulled her and took her behind a huge house. Indeed there was a beautiful restaurant there. Kashish went inside with Akshit. A waiter welcomed them and offered them drinks. As Akshit and Kashish finished their drinks, everything went hazy and dark. Some things happened after that and then there was a gun shot……
