A bus came. Kashish heaved a sigh of relief and hurried to board it. The person with a gun waited for all the passengers to board the bus and the bus to leave. The bus seemed to take eternity to leave. The man waiting was getting impatient. If Kashish did not leave soon, his boss would call again. He had to have some answer ready. Either Kashish is dead or she left. After around 45 minutes or so the bus moved. There Kashish left. Pheww. Now he can go back and have his drinks and snacks. He quickly called his boss. When his boss received the call, the man said, ‘Sir, that girl boarded the bus to Rohtam Village.’ The boss replied, ‘Okay! You will get your money. Just ask your contacts to find out where she goes and stays and then let me know.’

Aavish did not have the key to the lock in the store room. He could hear some noises inside but after sometime the noises stopped. He was curious. He thought of calling someone for help but then everyone was already tense. It would be better if he went downstairs and got some help from some housekeepers. They may either have the key or maybe help him break the lock. Aavish went to Santosh’s room. Santosh saw Aavish. He quickly got up from his bed and asked, ‘Yes Sir?’ Aavish said, ‘Do you have the key to the store room?’ Santosh thought for a while and said, ‘Yes Sir. I do have the key. Let me get it.’ Santosh went to the key stand and started looking for the key. Santosh was confused. He told Aavish, ‘It was right here Sir. Where did it go now?’ Aavish then asked, ‘Did you go to the store room?’ Santosh said, ‘No Sir. I barely have any work there.’ Aavish thought, ‘Who could take the key then?’ Aavish then asked, ‘Does Latika go there?’ Santosh replied, ‘Yes, Latika goes there once a week to dust the old furniture there. She has a spare key.’ Aavish said, ‘Okay. I will go get the key from her.’ Aavish then went to Latika’s room. Latika was worried like the rest. She sat on the floor with her hand on her forehead worried to hell for Kashish. When she saw Aavish, she stood up quickly and asked, ‘ Aavish Sir! Any news about Kashish?’ Aavish replied, ‘No! Do you have the key to the storeroom?’ Latika said, ‘Yes Sir.’ Aavish said, ‘Give it to me.’ Latika said, ‘Yes Sir. I will get it.’

Aavish took the key and went to the storeroom. He opened the lock and then the door and peeped inside. It was pitch dark. He switched on the flash light of his phone. Seeing the scene he gasped. A girl tied up thoroughly, mouth taped, lying there. Aavish was about to raise an alarm when the girl shook her head instructing him to keep quiet. Aavish went closer to her and opened the tape in her mouth. Aavish asked flabbergasted, ‘Who are you? Who did this to you?’ Saying this he untied her hands. Nishi said petrified, ‘Shhh….please…..I am already in trouble. If that person finds out that you have found me, he might hurt you as well.’ Aavish was shocked. Who could do this in this household! Aavish helped Nishi get up and made her sit in a chair and asked gently, ‘Tell me all about it. No one can hurt you again.’ Nishi sobbed and said, ‘My name is Nishi. I am Kashish’s friend.’ Hearing the name, Aavish was stunned. They were looking for Kashish and her friends and one of them is at his home in this condition! Nishi continued, ‘All I wanted was my friend Kashish to be safe. Hence I had come here to meet Anurag Sir…..’ Aavish asked hopeful, ‘You know where Kashish is?’ Nishi nodded and said, ‘Now I don’t know where she has gone. She had gone to the bus station. From there if she went somewhere I have no clue. Poor thing she is in deep trouble. Someone had sent some nude pictures and obscene videos of Anurag Sir to her and had asked her to leave Anurag Sir or else that person would make those videos and pictures viral on social media. I tried to make her understand that she had to go to the police. In fact I told her that I would accompany her. But she was so scared that Anurag Sir’s reputation would be tarnished and hence she risked her life.’ Aavish listened to her shocked. Aavish said, ‘And?’ Nishi said, ‘And ……….that moron Akshit lured her into some trap and…..’ saying that Nishi cried bitterly. Aavish gently patted Nishi’s shoulder and said, ‘Calm down please….. tell me all of it…..only then can we know how we can find Kashish.’ Nishi cried her heart out and said, ‘And….. Akshit was killed and someone had been calling Kashish and telling her that she killed Akshit.’ Looking at Aavish Nishi said, ‘Kashish can never do that. I know her. She has been framed. This guy Akshit…….’ Aavish told Nishi, ‘Can you recognize the person who captured you and brought you here?’ Nishi wiped her tears and said, ‘Of course I can.’

Mushtaque received back to back calls from his officers giving him all the information he had sought. Mushtaque had enquired with the bank regarding the major scam and he had the other name along with Anand Makhija. He still wanted to confirm it because this was going to be shocking for the Kothari family. Now, the name in the bank scam and the phone logs in Sara’s phone belonged to the same person. Mushtaque had asked some of his officers to find out all about Kashish’s friends Nishi and Akshit. He had even sent some officers to meet Nishi’s parents and Akshit’s grandparents since there was no missing report for Akshit and Nishi. Mushtaque was yet to hear from these officers regarding Nishi and Akshit. Suddenly a phone call came. It was from an officer who had gone to the bus station. The officer said, ‘We have confirmed, Kashish boarded the bus to Rohtam Village.’ Mushtaque heaved a sigh of relief and said, ‘Good Job. Now stop that bus and get Kashish to Kothari mansion safe. Take two female officers with you.’ The officer said, ‘Yes Sir.’ The officer then said, ‘Although the bus stop was nearly empty, we found a man talking to somebody and somehow one of our officers heard him saying ‘That girl boarded the bus to Rohtam village. We became suspicious and decided to do some sleuthing. So, we have been keeping an eye on him.’ Mushtaque smiled and said, ‘ Good job. Get the phone number of the person he was talking to. He might not give you his phone. Ask Kusum to use her magic to get the phone and the number.’ The officer said, ‘Yes Sir’

Aavish called Mushtaque from the store room itself. Mushtaque received the call.

Mushtaque: Hey, I was about to call Anurag….

Aavish: Bhai, you can’t believe what is happening here……

Mushtaque (concerned): Yes?

Aavish: This is what happened. I hear strange noises in the store room and I find Kashish’s friend Nishi trapped here.

Mushtaque( Astonished): What?

Aavish: Yes Mushtaque. And this was done by someone in the house and apparently, Kashish is being blackmailed regarding some obscene pictures and video of Anurag bhai and if Kashish did not leave Anurag bhai, Kashish was threatened that those pictures and videos would be made viral and…worse still…

Mushtaque(Concerned): What worse?

Aavish: Akshit had been killed and the person blackmailing Kashish framed Kashish in this.

Mushtaque listened to all of it patiently and said, ‘Now, listen Aavish. Don’t let Nishi get out of the store room and no one in the house should know that you know that Nishi is trapped there. Get out of the store room and lock the door as it is. Give Nishi something to eat first. She needs all the energy. Tell her that for the truth to be out, it was necessary that she stayed in the store room till I arrive. I will be there in 10 minutes.’ Aavish then said, ‘But bro, what if that person makes Anurag bhai’s pictures viral?’ Mushtaque smiled and replied, ‘That won’t happen. Don’t worry.’

After Mushtaque hung up, Aavish told Nishi, ‘See Nishi, I need your help here. Only you can help us in getting the all the truth out. I spoke with a police officer and he will be here in 10 minutes. Till then you will have to be here in the store room so that your abductor is not aware that I found you. Please trust me this once.’ Nishi looked at Aavish’s eyes and said, ‘You don’t look like a ruffian. Kashish was right. Some people in this house are very kind. Don’t worry. I will be here.’ Aavish looked at Nishi’s eyes. There was a sparkle in those eyes.

Mushtaque’s mind raced. He thought, ‘If Akshit is dead, there is a bigger plot in here. Damn! Kashish will have to be arrested despite the fact that she can never kill anyone.’ Mushtaque knew very well who that person was. And he had all the evidence here. But, the only catch was Akshit’s death. Because till Kashish was proven innocent, she would have to be in jail till then. Mushtaque felt helpless when suddenly his phone rang. It was from one of the officers who had gone to find information about Akshit.

The officer: Sir, we met Akshit’s grandparents. They said, Akshit had called them some time ago.

Mushtaque(Shocked?): Really?

The officer: Yes Sir. We traced the number and found his location. We are standing right in front of that house now.

Mushtaque (smiling): Is he in there?

The officer (peeping from the window) : Very much there Sir. Watching some movie.

Mushtaque(grinning) : Get him. Bring him to Kothari mansion.
